Northstar
Make complex team workflows easier to understand and manage.

The challenge
Northstar was designed for teams managing several projects at once. As work grew, it became harder to see what needed attention, what was blocked, and where decisions were getting stuck.
The existing experience showed plenty of information, but not enough context about what mattered right now.
The approach
I started by mapping the core workflows across planning, execution, and review. The goal was to reduce the amount of scanning required before someone could decide what to do next.
The redesigned experience introduced clearer priorities, simpler project navigation, and a more focused view of active work.
The product
The new workspace brings projects, tasks, owners, and deadlines into a single view.
Instead of treating every piece of work with the same visual weight, the interface surfaces blockers and upcoming decisions first, while keeping everything else accessible when needed.
What changed
The final product gave teams a clearer starting point each day and made project status easier to understand without opening every individual task.
The biggest lesson was simple: better visibility doesn't always mean showing more information. Sometimes it means deciding what deserves attention first.
